Christmas Tree Recycling

Town of Yucca Valley residents with curbside service may place their undecorated tree at the curb on their regular trash day, free of charge. Place your tree at the curb by 6:00 am on your regular collection day from December 26th through January 7th.
  • Don't put trees in your regular trash container.
  • This program is for Burrtec customers only.
  • Trees over 6 feet must be cut in half.
  • Please remove all tinsel, ornaments, plastic, bags, stands, braces, wire and nails.
  • No artificial trees will be accepted.

*Customers who do not have Green Waste service, please contact your customer service department to schedule a pick up. Thank you!

Bulky Item Pick Up

Burrtec provides pick-up and haul away services for bulky items too large to fit in your trash barrel, such as furniture, mattresses and appliances. To schedule a bulky item pick-up or to request service, click here.


Mandatory Recycling Legislation 

California Assembly Bill (AB 341) requires all businesses and multifamily buildings (of five or more units) that generate 4 cubic yards or more of commercials solid waste per week to arrange for recycling services.

Burrtec will assist your business or multifamily residential dwelling to establish a recycling program that fits your specific needs. Contact customer service to schedule a free waste and recycling analysis.

Residents across California will soon see changes to the way organic materials, such as

food scraps and yard trimmings, are managed. SB 1383, a statewide effort to reduce emissions of greenhouse gasses, will require all California cities and towns, including Yucca Valley, to reduce organic waste sent to landfills by 75% and recover surplus edible food to feed Californians facing food insecurity.
