As a trusted resource for the high desert community, our Animal Control Division strives to assure the protection, health and safety of animals and people through education and the enforcement of State laws and local ordinances governing animals.  We work in conjunction with various agencies, such as the Sheriff’s Department and the California Department of Fish and Wildlife, to provide a high quality of animal care, promote responsible pet ownership, and investigate cases of animal abuse.

  • Animal Control Field Services, available 24/7
  • Spay/Neutering services
  • A State mandated rabies control program through dog licensing
  • Resources and information about living with wildlife, such as coyotes and rattlesnakes
