The Town of Yucca Valley will host the Morongo Basin Veterans’ Tribute on Wednesday, November 11, 2020.  Hosting of the event alternates each year between the Town of Yucca Valley and the City of Twentynine Palms.  It is presented to honor Armed Forces veterans as well as those still serving. The public is encouraged to participate in support of the many Armed Forces veterans in the Morongo Basin.  Due to Covid-19 concerns and regulations, the 2020 Veterans’ Day Tribute event has been modified to ensure a safe and enjoyable program.  While some of the familiar elements of past programs may not be possible, alternative activities are offered to honor our veterans and service members.

In addition to the Virtual Ceremony, the Hi-Desert Nature Museum is has launched two new digital exhibits available for viewing on its website www.hidesertnaturemuseum.org.  The offerings, “War Comes Home: The Legacy” and “Letters from the Archives – War Edition” will remain on display through December 19, 2020.
