Emergency Preparedness Division

The Emergency Preparedness division is responsible for the planning, coordination and management of disaster preparedness, mitigation, response, and recovery. In the event of a local disaster or other emergency, the Town assumes a key role in accomplishing operational priorities:

  Save lives and protect property
  Repair and restore essential systems and services
  Provide a basis for direction and control of emergency operations

  Provide for the protection, use and distribution of remaining resources
  Provides for continuity of government
  Coordinate operations with other jurisdictions’ emergency service organizations

Hazard Mitigation Plan Update

The Town of Yucca Valley is updating the Hazard Mitigation Plan. As part of the update, the public has the opportunity to comment on the document before being finalized. Please review the draft document and provide any comments to Jessica Rice, Management Analyst before the May 15, 2017 deadline. Thank you.
